Entergy Arkansas
sends news that Maynard G. Krebs would love.

(Pardon my dated reference. Krebs, played by Bob Denver, was the beatnik in the old Dobie Gillis sitcom who loved to watch buildings being knocked down.)

Anyway, Entergy this morning “imploded” — which is to say demolished with a controlled demolition to make the debris fall inward — one of three retired generating units at the Ritchie Power Plant near Helena. The ground will be cleared to make way for future industrial development possibilities.

No media was allowed on the blast site, but Entergy provided video later in the day. Almost good as Maynard being there.
