A bumper crop open line, plus the Huckster

Here's the Sunday open line. And also:

* TOMATO WEATHER: Thanks to an 87-degree day, my front yard tomatoes have been ripening enough to start harvesting. A 49-cent tomato plant from an Ace Hardware store clearance table has now produced two bumper crops from the spot I stuck it in a flower bed in the front yard, much to my wife's displeasure. It's unattractive, except for the tomato part.

* HUCKSTERING: Good piece on Crooks and Liars catching Mike Huckabee in a frank admission that being on the Fox News GOP echo chamber is good for his political career. And, vice versa, he could have added.
