State judge strikes down same-sex marriage ban in Missouri

Posted By on Wed, Nov 5, 2014 at 4:50 PM

Following in the footsteps of Pulaski Circuit Judge Chris Piazza, a Missouri state court has struck down the Missouri ban on same-sex marriage.

As Piazza and others have held, it's unconstitutional. A Kansas City judge had earlier ruled that it was unconstitutional for Missouri not to recognize marriages legally performed in other states.

Marriage licenses were being issued Wednesday afternoon in St. Louis.
