Today's legislation: Hairy

Posted By on Tue, Jan 27, 2015 at 2:48 PM

A quick check of the legislative filings today finds:

* HAIRY: A bill by Rep. Bob Ballinger to exempt natural hair braiders from state regulation. The practice currently requires a cosmetology license. The bill says so-called African braiding is traditional, safe and poses no health risks.

* BATTERY BY MOTORBOAT: To allow a battery charge against someone who injures another while operating a motorboat while drunk.

* FIT FIREFIGHTERS: To require a uniform fitness test for firefighters.
