The House today passed a bill by Rep. Jeff Wardlaw to allow concealed carry permit holders to take guns into polling places. Reps. Stephanie Flowers and John Walker protested the need for the bill and suggested the presence of guns could deter voting. Wardlaw said a preacher in his district had asked for the bill. Flowers said she couldn’t see the need for a bill to address one person’s concern.
