There Huckabee goes again, hating on the gays

From Talking Points Memo,
the real truth via Mike Huckabee about all this gay rights noise of late:

Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) said on Wednesday that gay-rights activists wouldn't be satisfied until there are no more churches or Christians in America.

“It won’t stop until there are no more churches, until there are no more people who are spreading the Gospel,” Huckabee said on a right-wing radio program while discussing the backlash against anti-gay religious-freedom legislation in Arkansas and Indiana.

Because, of course, everyone knows that gay people and the people who love them, befriend them, employ them or merely believe they should be treated equally and with compassion couldn't possibly go to church or be "real" Christians.

Looks like Huck may go viral again, in a bad way. Here's Salon. And also, here's Bloomberg, which played it with the art shown at the top.

And more here on "homofascism." It is fascism, see, to want to stop people from harming you. Good Christians have a right to do harm to do bad things to people they disapprove of. It's in the Bible somewhere.

It was not even 24 hours ago that Sophia Said, director of the Interfaith Center; City Director Kathy Webb and others decided to organize a protest today of Donald Trump's executive order that has left people from Muslim countries languishing in airports or unable to come to the US at all — people with visas, green cards,a  post-doc graduate student en route to Harvard, Google employees abroad, families. I got the message today before noon; others didn't find out until it was going on. But however folks found out, they turned out in huge numbers, more than thousand men, women and children, on the grounds of the state Capitol to listen to speakers from all faiths and many countries.
