Arkansas State aiming to sell booze on campus

Jonesboro and Craighead County are dry — unless you count all the "private clubs" — and neighboring county liquor stores were able to beat back an effort to get a local option measure on the ballot last year for Craighead.

But Arkansas State University has a plan to use a nonprofit organization to sell alcohol on campus, specifically at "athletic and entertainment venues." In other words, what's the point of having a skybox at football games if you can't pour a little hooch? Same thing for concerts at the Convocation Center.
