North Little Rock fires Brad Bolding as football coach

Posted By on Fri, Apr 10, 2015 at 6:44 AM

After a nine-hour hearing that lasted until almost 3  a.m. this morning, the North Little Rock School Board affirmed the recommended firing of high school football coach Brad Bolding for violation of district procedures on purchasing and for recruiting a star player.

The School Board split on five separate allegations  from Superintendent Kelly Rogers — from 7-0 to 4-3 votes — but all upheld administrative findings.

Here's KTHV's account.

Bolding's attorney, David Couch, said he'd appeal the decision to Circuit Court. Bolding has been suspended with pay since mid-January.

I got the message today before noon; others didn't find out until it was going on. But however folks found out, they turned out in huge numbers, more than thousand men, women and children, on the grounds of the state Capitol to listen to speakers from all faiths and many countries.
