Blue Hog says Fort Smith police tried to hack into his computer

Posted By on Tue, Apr 14, 2015 at 9:09 AM

Matt Campbell, author of the Blue Hog Report and a Little Rock lawyer, says in a new filing in a long-running lawsuit by a Fort Smith police officer against the department that a computer file sent by Fort Smith officer contained software intended to hack into his computer and make his hard drive unsafe.

You can read all the ins and outs in this report from The City Wire. The Fort Smith police department declines to comment. You'd hope a police agency would feel comfortable instantly and thoroughly disputing any allegations of what could be criminal wrongdoing by a sworn officer.

Campbell also alleges various means by which the police department has attempted to evade the Freedom of Information Act in building a case for his client.
