Murder trial begins with Mara Leveritt in courtroom

Posted By on Thu, Apr 23, 2015 at 7:11 AM

Tim Howard's retrial on two murder charges in Little River County begins today in Ashdown and Mara Leveritt, who's chronicled the Death Row case over the years, will be in the courtroom.

With legal assistance from Matt Campbell (Blue Hog Report), Leveritt quashed a subpoena for her notes by Prosecuting Attorney Bryan Chesshir and also won an order from Judge Charles Yeargan that will allow her to observe the trial despite Chesshir's inexplicable effort to call her as a witness in the case.
