I can't offer much of anything informed or original to say about what's happening in Baltimore tonight, but I can at least make a suggestion about where to get your news: Head to the Baltimore Sun, which has temporarily dropped its paywall to provide coverage of the Freddie Gray case and the ensuing riots.

Here's the paper's full coverage. Here's their live feed with the latest updates. I don't know how long it'll be free, but it is for the time being.

At the moment, I'm just reading, looking, listening and thinking (about that last one — I don't know that David Simon's original post is particularly interesting, but dive into the comments for some worthwhile engagement).

  • Another Republican miracle-working governor

Great piece in Washington Post on the budget crisis in Louisiana. Big tax cuts and corporate welfare will do that to a state, particularly to a state whose previous governor, Republican Bobby Jindal, refused to join the Obamacare-funded Medicaid expansion. There's a lesson there for Arkansas.
