* SENTENCING IN WALMART ABDUCTION: U.S. Attorney Conner Eldrdige announced that Theron Vance, 22, of Rogers had been sentenced to 100 months in prison for kidnapping charges in the June 14, 2014 abduction of a woman from a Bentonville Walmart Supercenter. The woman had given an employee a note she had been kidnapped in Dallas by an ex-boyfriend. Vance was with the ex-boyfriend, MIchael Roberts, when she was assaulted and abducted from her apartment. Vance identified himself as being an FBI employee. The victim said she was told she’d been abducted to prevent her from testifying against Roberts in a pending criminal case in Texas. Roberts, 25, of Bella Vista and Jason Petit, 25, of Fayetteville had been senteced previously to 120 months and 48 months in prison, respectively.
