The Republican campaign to gut the Voting Rights Act

It's all here in a major New York Times magazine articl
e. And shaming isn't likely to produce much in Republican-controlled states like Arkansas. They WANT fewer minorities, college students and poor people to vote.

Be sure to read about the lies told about voter fraud against what the records show in North Carolina, where the perfection of a law severely hampering voting faces an important court test. Thousands of questionable ballots have boiled down to 11 suspect registrations and not a single charge of fraud yet.

Jim Crow has become very sophisticated.
