Finalists named for UA-Fayetteville chancellor's job

Donald Bobbitt, the University of Arkansas System president, has selected three finalists for the chancellor's position at the UA campus in Fayetteville. The selecetion follows secret deliberations by a search committee and meetings with candidates.

The UA said these finalists will have campus visits beginning next week:

APRIL MASON

• October 6-7 – Dr. April Mason, provost and senior vice president, Kansas State University

• October 12-13 – Dr. Joseph E. Steinmetz, executive vice president and provost, Ohio State University

• October 14-15 – Dr. Jeffrey S. Vitter, provost and executive vice chancellor, University of Kansas

Here's his bio.

Dan Ferritor has been interim chancellor of the UA flagship campus since the retirement of David Gearhart.
