I've been out of pocket on a glorious day. Thanks to Kat Robinson and Grav Weldon for loaning some photos from the Tie Dye Travels website about what looks like a hugely successful food truck festival. You'll find a lot more at the link.

Not much else in my in-box. CNN says the Oregon campus shooter's death was a suicide. Arkansas State University announced tersely the dismissal of a senior basketball player, Cameron Golden, for a violation of team and university policy.

Oh, but wait, there is this. Campus killer Chris Harper Mercer's mom apparently was an open carry gun nut who boasted about her semi-automatic weaponry and need for same.

    One of the booths at this week's Ark-La-Tex Medical Cannabis Expo was hosted by the Arkansas Hemp Association, a trade group founded to promote and expand non-intoxicating industrial hemp as an agricultural crop in the state. AHA Vice President Jeremy Fisher said the first licenses to grow experimental plots of hemp in the state should be issued by the Arkansas State Plant Board next spring.
