Enough sources are saying it that it seems to be so: Vice President Joe Biden will not get in the 2016 race for president.

The spate of polling after the first Democratic presidential debate — all with better numbers for HIllary Clinton — might simply be coincidental.

UPDATE: He's made a formal announcement at the White House with President Obama by his side. He said he was out of the time necessary to mount a winning campaign.

Great piece in Washington Post on the budget crisis in Louisiana. Big tax cuts and corporate welfare will do that to a state, particularly to a state whose previous governor, Republican Bobby Jindal, refused to join the Obamacare-funded Medicaid expansion. There's a lesson there for Arkansas.
