Hutchinson names Chalk Mitchell to judgeship

Posted By on Wed, Oct 21, 2015 at 2:58 PM

Gov. Asa Hutchinson today named Chalk Mitchell to complete the term of the late Circuit Judge L.T. Simes. Mitchell is a Helena-West Helena lawyer and former assistant U.S. attorney.

That race will be on the ballot next year. An appointee is not allowed by law to seek the position.
