The Bailey Foundation has given $2 million to UALR for student scholarships.

The money will go to a UALR campaign to increase access to higher education. It can be used as needed to help students who can't afford to go to college.

It's the latest of many gifts by the Bailey family to UALR. Dr. Ted Bailey, a physician and real estate investor, is president of the foundation. His wife Sharon was credited with encouraging a lead gift for the scholarship drive after learning about it on a campus visit.
