Police report homicide on Battery Street

LRPD says officers are on the scene of a homicide at 1406 Batter Street, the 28th homicide of the year. No other details at moment.

UPDATE: The victim has been identified as Jerry Moore Jr., 33. Police say he was fatally stabbed and they are seeking Paradise Deanna Williams, 28, as a suspect in the slaying. Police said she was known as a prostitute who worked the neighborhood around Wright Avenue and Battery. She was taken into custody later in the day.
