Little Rock police are investigating the case of an unidentified woman found fatally injured on Kanis Road about 11 p.m. Tuesday.

A witness said she saw a woman pushed out of a dirty, dark green Ford pickup with tinted windows in the 8900 block of Kanis Road. Officers found a black woman wearing a white T-shirt, jeans and white socks, but no shoes, lying on her back in the westbound lane of Kanis. She carried no identification. She was pronounced dead later at a hospital, the death attributed to damage to her liver and bleeding.

Police stopped a vehicle matching the description given by a witness. The driver was described as “very nervous, shaking.” The witness looked at the pickup and said she was sure it was the vehicle she’d seen dump the woman. The driver was taken into custody for questioning. No further information is currently available.

UPDATE: The victim has been identified as Korsha Rogers, 34. The case is being investigated as a homicide, but it has not been officially termed that yet, a spokesman said.
