Early arrival for murder suspect Arron Lewis

Posted By on Thu, Jan 14, 2016 at 7:02 AM

The trial of Arron Lewis in the 2014 abduction and asphyxiation killing of real estate agent Beverly Carter continues today at the Pulaski County Courthouse.

Times photographer Brian Chilson was on hand before 7 a.m. this morning to capture the extensive security details that accompany Lewis, including the early morning arrivals for transfer to a holding cell before court.

As I noted in yesterday's item on the trial, we had a miscommunication on coverage yesterday, but the Times' David Koon should be in the courtroom today.

Gov. Asa Hutchinson apparently felt the burn from KARK's exclusive Tuesday night on his plans to cut state support of War Memorial Stadium in half beginning July 1, 2018. He has a so-far secret plan to make the stadium self-sustaining. We bet that doesn't include state support.
