Mike Huckabee will take time out of his busy campaign schedule to host an "exclusive pre-release screening" of the film "God's Not Dead 2" in West Des Moines, Iowa — on Sunday, the day before the Iowa caucuses.

I didn't catch the original "God's Not Dead" but I gather that the sequel will hew closely to the themes of the original. The cast of GND2 includes Melissa Joan Hart, the late Fred Thompson, Robin Givens (!), and Pat Boone (!!!). Best of all, they cast the dad from Twin Peaks as an evil ACLU lawyer, a casting choice so good that it must have been divinely inspired. See a preview below. (p.s. David Koon did a great review of the trailer on the Rock Candy blog a while back)
