The Rubio campaign's Arkansas team will hold a press conference tomorrow at the Old Supreme Court Chamber at the Capitol. From their press release:

State Senator Bart Hester, Marco's Arkansas State Chairman, and members of Marco's Arkansas Leadership Team will hold a brief press conference on the front steps of the Arkansas State Capitol to address local media and announce a growing list of support from Arkansas lawmakers.

We've noted rumors that many Arkansas lawmakers and public officials who had previously endorsed Mike Huckabee may be switching to back Rubio. I'm hearing that the total number of Rubio endorsements from Arkansas officeholders after tomorrow's announcement will number 26 in total. Thus far, fourteen state legislators as well as congressmen Rick Crawford and Steve Womack, Lt. Gov. Tim Griffin, and Surgeon General Greg Bledsoe have endorsed Rubio.

Gov. Asa Hutchinson will probably not be at tomorrow's announcement and there is no indication that he is ready to make an endorsement yet (the governor has his own press conference scheduled at 1 p.m. on apparently unrelated matters).

Many Capitol observers believe that the governor will eventually endorse Rubio. I've also heard that Senate President Pro Tem Jonathan Dismang and House Speaker Jeremy Gillam could join him in eventually backing Rubio. However, none of them are expected to make an endorsement tomorrow.

The Arkansas Republican primary will be held on March 1.
