Marco Rubio is in denial

Posted By on Wed, Mar 2, 2016 at 11:28 AM

Jake Tapper of CNN gently asked Marco Rubio whether he's in denial. Rubio keeps claiming that he can win the nomination even though he keeps losing state after state after state (fourteen out of fifteen so far) — and even though the delegate count, slate of state polling, and coming electoral map offers absolutely no hope whatsoever.

To see just how deeply the denial runs for the Rubio team, note this from Politico yesterday

"It was a presentation that defied reality," said one Rubio backer. "They said their convention strategy was not contingent on winning any states."

They're going to win without winning any states!

In response to Tapper, Rubio blabbered the same, sad, peppy talking points. No one's buying it. It's not bullish, it's bulls**t.

Suggested response next time: "I'm not a mathematician, man."
