Pest controllers prompt Hot Springs school lockdown

Posted By on Wed, Mar 30, 2016 at 11:05 AM

Thanks to Josh Berry at KARK for this report from the front lines of Arkansas education:

It appears some pest controllers carrying pellet guns to shoot squirrels plaguing an apartment complex in Hot Springs set off a lockdown at the nearby Gardner Primary School. You know: Three men carrying rifles seen near the school. Intruder alarm activated. School locked down. Police perimeter established.

Things are back to normal. No word on the squirrels.
