Kenneth Starr to resign Baylor position as chancellor

Posted By on Wed, Jun 1, 2016 at 11:59 AM

Sports Center reports that Kenneth Starr, recently removed as president of Baylor University, also will resign the chancellor position he'd been allowed to retain as a "matter of conscience." No word yet if he'll hang onto a law school professorship.

The football coach was fired and the athletic director quit earlier because of a scathing report on the university's handling of sexual assault complaints against football players.

Starr, the Whitewater prosecutor, now has a second major event to add to his Wikipedia entry, both enmeshed in sex scandals. He was once considered a prime candidate for U.S. Supreme Court.

UPDATE: He will continue to teach at the Baylor Law School. As a private college, its pay isn't publicly available.

UPDATE II: And then he gave an interview and made a fool of himself.
