Sad news from KARK. Razorback pole vaulter Lexi Weeks of Cabot is out of the Olympics competition in Rio. (4.55 meters is a shade under 15 feet. She cleared 4.7 meters at the Olympic trials.)

She was a particular favorite of ours as a member of last year's Arkansas Times Academic All-Star Team.

She's only 19. There's a lot of vaulting ahead.

PS: But two other Razorback vaulters are still in the running for gold.
