When a Rogers police officer went to work (40/29) Tuesday morning, he discovered a door ajar on his unmarked police car and then found someone had stolen in the early morning hours:

* A Bushmaster AR-15 patrol rifle with three loaded magazines

* Bullet resistant vest with "Police" patches on the chest and back, kept in a black vest carrier

* Two loaded magazines fro a Glock 17 9mm pistol.

* One set of Smith and Wesson handcuffs

* One small flashlight

* One 5.11 brand shoulder bag, dark gray in color with various medical supplies.

    Great piece in Washington Post on the budget crisis in Louisiana. Big tax cuts and corporate welfare will do that to a state, particularly to a state whose previous governor, Republican Bobby Jindal, refused to join the Obamacare-funded Medicaid expansion. There's a lesson there for Arkansas.
