  • SHOOTING RESPONSE: Police gather at Taco Bell on University Avenue

KARK's Mitch McCoy is reporting that a 17-year-old was shot multiple times in a carjacking, apparently near an apartment complex on Col. Glenn Road, just west of University Avenue.

McCoy reports the man was shot at Big Country Chateau apartments then ran to the nearby Taco Bell for help. No word on his condition, but an initial report indicated the wounds were not life-threatening

The incident created a big traffic problem on University.

Incidentally, a man was fatally shot Sunday night on a grocery store parking lot a couple of blocks west of the apartments.

  • Another Republican miracle-working governor

Great piece in Washington Post on the budget crisis in Louisiana. Big tax cuts and corporate welfare will do that to a state, particularly to a state whose previous governor, Republican Bobby Jindal, refused to join the Obamacare-funded Medicaid expansion. There's a lesson there for Arkansas.
