Tavern shooting Sunday night

Posted By on Mon, May 15, 2017 at 7:02 AM

Trouble in River City. KARK reports one person was shot Sunday night at the West End Tavern in West Little Rock. Argument broke out over a game of pool.

UPDATE: A police report says the shooting occurred about 1:45 A.M. Cortez Roy, 28, was shot twice in the stomach.

According to witnesses, a drunk man entered and challenged people to play pool for $50. Roy agreed. They argued and the suspect also pushed a woman he'd come with to the floor.  The suspect started to leave and Roy followed toward the door. The suspect turned and fired four or five times with a semi-automatic pistol, then drove away with his female companion.
