It's the New York Times with the news today
. Fired FBI Director James Comey kept notes of his talks with Donald Trump. A memo he wrote in February after a meeting with Trump said the president asked him to shut down the investigation into Michael Flynn, his former national security adviser.

Don't disappoint me, Trumpheads. Tell me how this is nothing. Remind me again of that e-mail server.

President, through spokesman, denies. So that should be the end of that, right?

Hey. Maybe there are tapes!

PS: Times is also reporting Trump talked to Comey about prosecuting reporters over leaks. Now we're talking!

PPS: Read Gene Lyons when he hits the paper this week. It's not about politics. It's about competence and character and even Alzheimer's.  But all this only raises the deeply troubling question: Might Pence be worse, more effective in his evil ways?
