Dr. Kelly Damphousse, a dean at the University of Oklahoma, was named today as chancellor of the main Arkansas State University campus in Jonesboro.

One of three finalists, he has been dean of the OU College of Arts and Sciences since 2013. He's also been the campus faculty athletics representative.

His academic background is in sociology. He'll go to work July 1 at $360,000  year. He was said to be the unanimous pick of a search committee.
