Arkansas Business reports that Dassault Falcon, which has a major private jet completion facility at the Clinton National Airport in Little Rock, has confirmed a 6 percent reduction in its worldwide workforce of 11,000 that will affect Little Rock.

This follows by just a few months an announcement of an expansion of the facility. I heard several days ago of a Dassault worker who'd received a layoff notice along with others. The facility has gone up and down in employment t over the years with changes in the market.

Great piece in Washington Post on the budget crisis in Louisiana. Big tax cuts and corporate welfare will do that to a state, particularly to a state whose previous governor, Republican Bobby Jindal, refused to join the Obamacare-funded Medicaid expansion. There's a lesson there for Arkansas.
