National Republicans have friend in Arkansas

Posted By on Tue, May 23, 2017 at 7:29 AM

Pro Publica provides a handy searchable database of Republican National Committee contributions in April and an Arkansas donor was near the top of the heap of givers.

The Warren A. Stephens Trust (he's the CEO of Stephens Inc., the financial powerhouse) gave three contributions of $101,700  each — to the legal proceedings account, the convention account and the headquarters account.  All on April 26.

A handful of other small contributions from Arkansas, totaling about $6,000, also were reported. In all, the RNC raised about $10 million.
