Politico says U.S. Sen. Tom Cotton will be among six members of Congress dining at the White House with Donald Trump tonight.

Cotton and Sen. Marco Rubio perhaps will receive some ideas from Trump about former FBI director James Comey’s testimony before their Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday. Of course Trump wouldn’t try to influence that event. He’s always been very careful to avoid conflicts of interest.

Reporting today says Trump plans to provide live commentary via Twitter on Comey’s testimony.
