The Libertarian Party of Arkansas says it will submit sufficient petition signatures Monday to the secretary of state's office to qualify for the Arkansas election ballot as a political party in 2018.

If 10,000 signatures are verified, it will be the fourth time the party has qualified for the ballot as a "new political party" by that method. Automatic ballot placement for a party can be earned by winning 3 percent of the votes in races for governor or president.
