Anthony Bland, a business consultant and library technician for the Little Rock School District, had a Capitol announcement today for his Democratic candidacy for secretary of state.

He posted a video of the event on his Facebook page. He'd announced his intention run earlier for the job, in which the incumbent, Mark Martin, is term limited. Several Republicans have been making plans to run, including Land Commissioner John Thurston and state Rep. Trevor Drown.

Bland said he'd streamline and modernize the office and be an advocate for voters rights.
