Trump gives immigrant foes half a loaf

The Trump administration has rescinded the Obama administration's rule protecting parents of Americans and legal residents from immediate deportation but it has kept in place the rule that gives some protection to those who arrived in the U.S. as children.

Hard-core immigration foes like Sen. Tom Cotton cheered the end of the so-called DAPA policy.  But they want more. Trump had promised during the campaign to end both policies. Attorney General Leslie Rutledge followed later in the day with cheers for treating immigrants roughly.
