Multiple cars also hit in shooting Saturday night at Rave theater

Posted By on Mon, Jun 19, 2017 at 9:29 AM

Little Rock police have identified the man shot as he walked to enter the Rave Theater about 10 p.m. Saturday night and also released a report showing four cars were hit by gunfire.

David Hall, 35, of White Hall, was struck in the hip by a gunshot as he approached the theater entrance. He's been described by police as an innocent bystander to gunshots fired by a man seen running and firing a weapon near the eastern entrance of the parking lot of the theater off Col. Glenn Road near Interstate 430.

The man seen shooting got into a red SUV and fled. Police found multiple bullet casings and broken windows in four cars — an Infiniti Q50, a Honda Accord, a Lexus G47 and a Jeep Grand Cherokee.

UPDATE: Subsequent reporting indicates the man who was injured was carrying a weapon and fired in direction of gunshots when shooting broke out.

It was not even 24 hours ago that Sophia Said, director of the Interfaith Center; City Director Kathy Webb and others decided to organize a protest today of Donald Trump's executive order that has left people from Muslim countries languishing in airports or unable to come to the US at all — people with visas, green cards,a  post-doc graduate student en route to Harvard, Google employees abroad, families. I got the message today before noon; others didn't find out until it was going on. But however folks found out, they turned out in huge numbers, more than thousand men, women and children, on the grounds of the state Capitol to listen to speakers from all faiths and many countries.
