Another candidate for Little Rock House seat

Posted By on Mon, Jul 10, 2017 at 7:26 AM

State Rep. Warwick Sabin's announcement that he's planning a race for Little Rock mayor in 2018 has now drawn two Democratic candidates to succeed him in the district, which stretches from downtown to Reservoir Road through HIllcrest.

Tippi McCullough, a teacher and leader of Stonewall Democrats, had told me Friday that she plans to make the race. Today, Little Rock lawyer Ross Noland, who is also director of the Buffalo River Foundation, said he'd be a Democratic candidate. The primary is in May 2018.

  • Another Republican miracle-working governor

Great piece in Washington Post on the budget crisis in Louisiana. Big tax cuts and corporate welfare will do that to a state, particularly to a state whose previous governor, Republican Bobby Jindal, refused to join the Obamacare-funded Medicaid expansion. There's a lesson there for Arkansas.
