The Little Rock homicide toll rose by two Monday night, accompanied by other shooting incidents. KARK/Fox 16 has a roundup.

A 30-year-old man was shot fatally while sitting in a car in the 10400 block of Stardust Trail, which is near Baseline and Chicot Roads in Southwest Little Rock.

Minutes later, a 14-year-old male was shot to death in his apartment on Green Mountain Drive, which runs south off the intersection of Rodney Parham and Hinson Roads in west Little Rock. A suspect — a young male — was seen driving away. A tearful neighbor told the station it was the second child in the family who'd been a victim of gun violence.

UPDATE: Fox 16/KARK identifies the dead teen as Cyncere Alexander.

I got the message today before noon; others didn't find out until it was going on. But however folks found out, they turned out in huge numbers, more than thousand men, women and children, on the grounds of the state Capitol to listen to speakers from all faiths and many countries.
