Marching Monday for medical care

Posted By on Sun, Jul 30, 2017 at 7:36 AM

Arkansas Community Organizations announces a  march and ceremony Monday night to mark the 52nd anniversary of Medicare and Medicaid.

The point, of course, is to emphasize to Congress that these popular and enduring programs need strengthening, not cuts to health coverage for millions of Americans.

The group will gather at Markham and Scott Street at 7:30 p.m. and walk across the Main Street bridge to the gazebo in the park at the foot of the bridge in North Little Rock. Speakers will include beneficiaries of the program. Cake will be served.
