KARK/Fox 16 reports that papers have been filed by an independent challenger to Republican U.S. Rep. Bruce Westerman of the 4th District.

He is Michael Barrett of Hatfield, described as a pastor and Navy veteran, who says, "Washington is a mess." More of his  biography here.

Magnolia Reporter notes the similarity of his resume with a potential candidate for Congress in Texas a few years ago, also named Michael Barrett.
