What's being called a celebration of the life of Frank Broyles, the former Razorback coach and athletic director, is set for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Walton Arena on campus. He died Monday at 92.

The event will be streamed by many channels, including on arkansasrazorbacks, com

Participants include former Razorbacks Jerry Jones, Ken Hatfield and Quinn Grovey. David Bazzel will be emcee.

This is a memorial service, not a funeral. It's open to the public. No concessions will be sold.

The conversion of a national debate on race is an apt commentary for the 60th anniversary of the Little Rock school crisis and the city's effort to sell it as an occasion to laud progress. Progress would be someone talking about the elephant in the room — the white establishment's takeover of the majority black Little Rock School District.
