What's in a name? In Arkansas, the 'h' in highways is silent

I told you they should have renamed it Arkansas Department of Highways (D'oh!).

For rich irony, this Tweet is hard to beat. The Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department changed its name to something that, by self-admission, no longer accurately reflects its real interest — highways. Not trains, not buses, not pedestrians, not bicycles, not boats, not boulevards. Highways.

But we knew that. See the Concrete Gulch, otherwise known as 30 Crossing.
