There is life other than football, UAMS indicates

Posted By on Tue, Aug 22, 2017 at 12:53 PM

UAMS has announced that it will be open for business as usual on Aug. 31, even though a Razorback football game will be taking place that night at War Memorial Stadium.

The med center will see patients, even, but they are warned to allow more time to make appointments because of potential game-related traffic. I say potential because the Razorback opener is Florida A&M and, well ....

Classes for UAMS' five colleges and graduate school will dismiss at noon, but most of the 8,000 employees on campus will be at work.

Parking will be reserved for patients and employees. No game-day parking will be available in UAMS parking decks or lots.

The game is at 7 p.m.
