Rainbow flags [Buy here] are displayed in many cultures around the world as a sign of diversity and inclusiveness, of hope and of yearning. In 1978, the rainbow flag was adopted by the LGBT community to symbolize gay pride and rights, noting that the rainbow is a natural and universal symbol that is understood in all languages.

Another version of the Rainbow flag is the US flag with the stripes changed to the rainbow colors [Buy here]. This flag, now used in the LGBTQ community as well, began as the flag of the counter culture group, the “Rainbow Children.” The symbolism of a rainbow is used to represent all of the different people and tribes that can come together in peace and harmony. We now have flags that represent almost all orientations from Asexual to Transgender.
