One dead after St. Francis Co. chase ends with fleeing suspect crashing through a church

The passenger in a Ford Bronco reported stolen in Texas died today after a high speed chase that started on I-40 in St. Francis County ended with the Bronco crashing through the wall of a church.

The pursuit began at 8:40 this morning. After taking an off ramp and driving two miles down St. Francis County Road 419, the driver crossed a gravel parking lot and drove through the wall of Riverside Baptist Church. The female passenger died at the scene. Her name has not been released. The driver was taken to an area hospital, and will face charges when he is released.
