Another SWLR homicide

Posted By on Wed, Oct 25, 2017 at 7:13 AM

KARK is reporting that one person is dead and another wounded in a shooting earlier today at an apartment project in the 5000 block of West 65th Street.

It was the city's 50th homicide — or 48th by police count because they don't count homicides by police when they are ruled justified.

UPDATE: Larry Bearfield, 35, has been identified as the man police found fatally wounded in the doorway of an apartment at 5001 W. 65th.  Cero Wilson, 35, was found wounded inside the apartment and was reported in serious, but stable condition.

Police currently have no further information on what led to the shooting.
