Gov. Hutchinson will go to China — again

Gov. Asa Hutchinson has announced a third trip to Asia to drum up business in Arkansas.

He made the announcement in Jonesboro along with news of a new Chinese investment by a Chinese-owned manufacturer, Risever, expected to employ 130 eventually in the city industrial park.

During the trip next week, Hutchinson will ceremonially sign an agreement with Risever in a stop in Hefei Province.

Hutchinson's release touted China as a "valuable partner" with announcements of some 1,600 potential jobs and $1.4 billion in promised investments in Arkadelphia, Fort Smith, Little Rock, Forrest City and Jonesboro.
